Our Story
Muhimbo Cares Foundation (MCF) means "JOY: Happiness."We are dedicated to restoring that joy to the lives of adolescent girls and young mothers.

Rooted in Compassion
Founded by Komuhimbo Aisha Mugisa (widely known as Blessing), our operations began informally in 2015. Aisha, a graduate of Makerere University, was profoundly shaped by her mentor, the late Dr. Jack, a missionary from the UK.
Through early exposure to the struggles of hospitalized children at Mulago Children’s Ward and later, the heartbreaking challenges of teenage mothers in urban slums, Aisha was inspired to establish MCF to combat the root causes of teenage pregnancy.
Today, we stand as a registered community-based organization committed to turning vulnerability into agency for the girls of Uganda.
Our Vision
To see an end to teenage pregnancy and to empower teenage mothers with dignity, skills, and hope.
Our Mission
To create safe spaces and sustainable livelihoods for teenage mothers through peer-to-peer education, skills training, and psychosocial support.
Combatting Crisis,
Reclaiming Futures.
Fighting Teenage Pregnancy
Through community dialogues and peer-led awareness, we tackle the root causes of early pregnancy. We empower adolescent girls with knowledge of their rights and reproductive health to prevent the cycle of poverty before it starts.
Supporting School Dropouts
"A dropout is not a dead end; it's a detour."
We provide a bridge for girls who have left the formal education system due to pregnancy or financial hardship. Whether through vocational skilling or supporting their return to the classroom, we ensure their journey continues.
